Marine Laurent

Marine leads financial strategy and sustainability at Global Fishing Watch, and manages operations to ensure the achievement of the organization’s strategic goals. With over 15 years of operational finance, human resources and project management experience, Marine brings a strong expertise in overseeing complete operational processes, including financial and management reporting, structuring operations in multinational environments, and strategic business planning. 

Prior to joining Global Fishing Watch, Marine served as chief operating officer of Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium, a global clinical research standards development organization. She also served as chief financial officer of Alter Eco, a French organic and fair trade food distributor. She holds a master’s degree in management from HEC, Paris, as well as a bachelor of law from the University Paris—XI and a master’s degree in geopolitics from Sorbonne University. 

A mother of four, Marine enjoys hiking, cooking and exploring the world with her family.
